As an experienced basketball coach, Avery will be providing private and group lessons for those interested in improving their game.
Participants can expect a strong focus on individual skill development tailored to their specific abilities and age group, as well as an inclusive and engaging experience from Coach Avery.
Served as the team captain for the Alexandria High School basketball team. He earned numerous accolades, including multiple All-Conference awards as well as being named All-State. He surpassed the 1,000-point mark during his junior year at Alexandria. He then secured a place on the Madison County All-Decade Team for 2010.
Following his high school success, Avery continued his basketball journey at Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. He spent 2 years playing at MSJ before transferring to Anderson University where he played for two more years.
His dedication and natural leadership abilities garnered the respect of his teammates and coaches who unanimously selected him to be team captain. Due to injuries, Avery’s last two years at AU allowed him to grow in basketball knowledge and skill to enhance his ability as a coach. He now serves as a Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Pendleton Heights High school.
